Honestly I have yet to read it yet. I assume it’ll be good... But these are Japanese students spirited away to a world of Norse Myth by a mirror they found in a shrine that is presumably a shrine for one of Japan’s main faiths...
Question 1; Why is there a mirror that transports kids to a land of pagan myth in a Japanese Shrine?
Question 2; How did anyone discover that taking a self portrait photo (or a ‘selfie’ in certain circles) in front of a mirror would whisk them away when cameras are actually a fairly new invention in the grand scheme of human history?
Question 3; Is Thor going to be a Waifu now? Is that what’s about to happen here? Thor’s going to come in as Freyja and be super moe and then all of a sudden, ‘suprise handsome man trap’ or something? How crazy are these authors?

      @oathkeeper95

      are Japanese students

      Actually only one.

Why is there a mirror that transports kids to a land of pagan myth in a Japanese Shrine?

Why not? (There wasn't in story explanation so far)

How did anyone discover that taking a self portrait photo (or a ‘selfie’ in certain circles) in front of a mirror would whisk them away when cameras are actually a fairly new invention in the grand scheme of human histor

      By accident.

Is Thor going to be a Waifu now? Is that what’s about to happen here? Thor’s going to come in as Freyja and be super moe and then all of a sudden, ‘suprise handsome man trap’ or something?

We don't know for now, but it certainly didn't happen yet.

      How crazy are these authors?

Compared to the reincarnated as a vending machine story, this is a pretty down to earth story.

Well crap, now that I remembered that part of Thor's myth I have to read this series. The author better put it to good use. I just hope this series goes as deep into mythology as Campione did.

@paul-nebeling I don’t think I actually know who Kawahara is... I assume they are some kind of trap though...

Thor turning into Freiyja to deceive Thrym after he stole his hammer was actually part of Thor's myth though. It's every bit as hillarious in the original setting.

@Oathkeeper95 Kawahara is the author of Sword Art Online. In a quest in one of the VR games of that series (that's based on Norse myhtology), they have to stop a band of Jotuns led by Thrym from taking over the world. During said quest they find a captured Freyja, rescue her and one of the party members falls for her... only for her to later turn out to be Thor after finding his hammer. Hillarity ensues.

@paulnamida oh... so Google searching was the right option... I was wondering about that, but it’s good to know now how it applies for sure instead of just an assumption.

@paulnamida This is very late, considering how many times I've read and watched that story. It just dawned on me the huge double entendre where everyone is telling Kline "It's a trap."

... I did not realize that myself to be honest... maybe I’m not as clever as I thought... that’s a bit upsetting, but understandable.

SO, quick question: Has anyone else noticed where the pink haired girls hand is going in the cover art?
