    Printing Error in My Next Life as a Villainess light novel volume 1!

      I bought the first light novel of my next life as a villainess as a birthday present for my daughter from amazon. The problem is, there is at least one whole page missing from the book.

      Page 229 is supposed to be the first page of the epilogue. But page 229 is the last page in chapter 6. After that, page 230 starts in the middle of a sentence instead of starting the epilogue. It's obvious it's picking up in the middle of the epilogue. The pages are numbered correctly, but the content of the pages is what's wrong. The first part of the epilogue is just not there!

      We told Amazon about the problem and they sent us a replacement book. Unfortunately, it had the same printing error. That's why we are coming to you, the publisher, for help. Is there any way you can send us a replacement book that doesn't have any printing errors?

      My daughter really loved the book, and was just really bummed out the all of the story wasn't there.

        Unfortunately the print replacement program has ended already by the look of it.
        Not sure why when retailers are still selling the version with the error.

          Unless JNC (or their print publisher) initiated a buyback/exchange of all existing stock from retailers, they're going to continue selling the version with the missing content until they sell out of the product.

          Unfortunately that means anyone who's purchased one of the affected copies at this point can only print out the PDF in the links you've listed as a resolution unless the retailer they purchased from already has the updated volume in stock.

            Sorry for not replying to this sooner.

            Your best option will be to return it to Amazon outright as defective and reorder from somewhere else. In the US, I would recommend using Barnes & Noble if only because we know for a fact that they pulped their stock of the misprinted edition and ordered new units.

            I'm sorry for the inconvenience, especially when dealing with a gift.

              Just saw this, and I'm a bit worried because it's on my to-buy list. Are there any known "safe" stores in Europe? I'm just assuming Amazon is being stupid everywhere.

                That's tricky. Our distributors pulped the originals, including in the UK (where European distribution sources form), but what individual stores did with their stock is out of their (and our) control.

                If you're in the UK or willing to pay for distribution from the UK, I'd suggest going via United Publications (up1.co.uk) and asking them to verify that the epilogue starts on page 230 before shipping. If you're planning to order a lot of our books in one go, consider waiting for a weekly sale and ordering from Right Stuf.
