Yes that's usually what I do, I expend credits for series that I can actually catch up. Don't take me wrong I know we cannot like catch up all series we want but a catch up should not mean like having the whole series open free to latest chapter but for example if we have like a very long series some times that is a blocker to actually buy it or at least for me, but if for example we can catch up till a point where we can keep buying the remaining volumes maybe it could make more sense.

Oh that makes more sense. My vote is for just the link the series tag if there's no dedicated subforum, but I don't really see the need to add discussion buttons to every single volume, especially when you go look at the oldest pages on the forums, older series may have a discussion topic per part rather than per volume.

Unfortunately that is not something J-Novel Club has direct control over.

The forums are hosted by NodeBB, so if there is anything forum related someone wants tweaked, then it would have to be done on their end.

They do have their own community section of the site, for bugs and feature requests.

@myskaros a highlight feature would be useful without the automatic reporting system, readers could just highlight any potential errors they see as they read through and then easily go back to review and report them later, which would also let them more easily consolidate error reports. It also just lets the kind of people who like highlighting their books do that if they want to.

I discovered that this had happened to me recently with regards to Apothecary Diary Volume 1, I could see on my app that I owned Volumes 2 - 4, and I could see Volume 1 listed as a separate series, but they must have recreated the listing under a different identification number since the URL to the Volume 1 they wanted me to buy and the Volume 1 that I had bought were different, not to mention the URL to the Volume I had bought took me to an error page so the original probably was no longer available.

I solved this by contacting customer support, after explaining the problem they canceled and refunded my order for the original book so I could repurchase it. Still annoying, but the customer service associate said he'd send the feedback about the experience back to the team.

I'm pretty sure most of the newer updates are just to correct spelling issues they've discovered post release, or in some cases with Bookworm if some term or name that ends up being hotly debated on the forums ends up being changed, they'll want to go back and fix the name in prior volumes.

It would be nice to have general idea of what's changed if it's doable, though I suspect if it's anything really major like artwork, there will be a post about it.

If you are reading a pre-pub section there's a link to the relevant comment topic. (Hold your curser near the top of the reading window, the link should pop into sight then.)
In general, the first post, the one creating the topic, contains a link to the dedicated corrections topic for that work.

It's a 2-step thing, but it means you don't have to scroll through all the possible topics until you find the one you're looking for this time around.
Makes it much easier to report corrections right when you see the error.

Yes, Amazon does indeed restrict that. I don't remember who said it but I know one of the JNC staff said that when that initial batch of Amazon takedowns happened and people suggested they should mention the images would be in the correct place if you bought direct.

@kilocron For Sinclair, it's physically possible to release it all, sure, but we'd have to have something like 20 translators working in tandem and pumping out a book a day to get it done in anything resembling reasonable time. And even then it'd still take about 10 years to catch up.
