Okay, so the manga literally got licensed today by Square Enix for their new app as “I Got Reincarnated As The Son Of Innkeepers!” So yeah

The manga was one of the things I wanted to check out on Manga UP! but hadn’t yet..

Author: Renkinou (Tensei Shite Inaka de Slowlife wo Okuritai)

..and the sleepy eyes immediately made me think of Tensei Shite Inaka de Slowlife wo Okuritai and it’s only the same author. I’ve actually got quite a few of their books now I look.

Note that this is a manga and there is no LN (although it is based on a web novel).

Oddly, given the above, the two artists you’ve left untranslated are a separate artist (Kamegoya Sato) and character designer (Nabeshima Tetsuhiro). It runs in Dengeki Daioh.

Apparently I’ve actually read up to chapter 15 (with chapter 19 being the latest in June, it having skipped a month in July) but I had to skim the first chapter to remember what it is about, which reminded me that I’m absolutely only reading it because I liked the design of the stray god (you choosing the volume 3 cover threw me off because she’s not on it).

Problem is, those two volumes are still available from Kindle in both the US and UK meaning the license is still current.

Not only the medical terms … going ahead and reading MTLs of the webnovel, it seems like the latter part contains a lot of

stuff? I was thinking of sitting down and doing an MTL-based fan translation of the webnovel since I can manage the medical concepts, but that other stuff is way too out there for me.

So yeah, while it is extremely disappointing, I can sort of see why it might be really difficult to find a translator for the series.

Ok i'm going bump this topic. We need more Type-Moon licenses, specially this one.

I will start us off with my first suggestion: I would like to see Tearmoon Empire get an audiobook format

This series has all the elements that make for a great audiobook: a colorful cast of characters---each with their own distinct voice--a snarky narrator, delicious descriptive language, and a protagonist with such a clear voice that I can practically hear her whenever I read the page.

I want Tearmoon in as many forms as I can get it; I have preordered the manga and bought the LN is both digital and physical formats (yes, it's that good that I buy every volume twice). The only thing that would make me happier than if I got an audiobook version would be if an anime adaption got made as well! ^

^Side-note: Why hasn't this been made into already an anime? Reading the manga recently has only proven a long-standing belief that this would look amazing if made into an anime

First, from what I can tell, Euphonium wasn't regular light novel.
Then, regardless of whether it is regular light novel or not, I am in an understanding that Japanese publishers usualy do not license all the volumes in a series at once, but rather give out their license a few volumes at once.
Is there really nothing other publishers can do for the time being?

@Torka If you read the novel volume, I guess there's not much I can say. But if you're referring to the manga, volumes 2&3 are a magnitude 'worse' than the first. Perhaps best example of how gruesome it can get is chapter 14 in the third volume.

Much in agreement. It's a very cute series so far. Only one volume out so far. I'm hopeful for decent progression too.

I'm just glad these licenses aren't falling into the abyss of the contracts being tied up until they expire due to the publisher going out of business. This is a great thing.
