Are there any plans to release the books on Google Play? I don't own a Kindle or any other ebook device and I think the Play Book app is way better than the Kindle app on my phone. I have already purchased some books on Google Play and would like to keep my collection on only one content provider.

@Laerte Unfortunately google is not accepting applications for new publishers on its store, and hasn't for more than a year...
Until that changes the only option would be selling through some 3rd party service like goodreads which would then be a middleman for google play. We will look into that. -

I'll second this request. Real shame they're not accepting apps for new publishers, because I vastly prefer Play Books to Amazon or other providers when DRM cannot be avoided.
Suppose I'll have to consider subscribing premium for a month at a time when I want to get a specific ebook so I can download to own and use whatever reader I want.

Wow, that's crazy that they don't accept new pubs. I'm going to be using them for Non J-Novel stuff since their player has easy built in Text to Speech

Kindle app on my phone doesn't have easy text to speech native support, so that's one thing. Google, it's just two button presses and it rolls through the book. I wish I found out about it sooner.

@terrence how well does text-to-speech handle light novels? When I think how much the pronunciation in most (and especially Sentai) dubs annoys me...

Well, let me test some sentences for ya. I use the British Google voice. I'll grab some sample sentences and then write out the text to speech's struggles phonetically. =P
Edit: Can't find anything too crazy yet, but there's a line in Grimgar where Ranta yells "Heyyyyyyyyyyyyy"
It reads it Ache Ee Whywhywhywhywhywhywhy
Junko is pronounced Junk Oh, as opposed to June Ko.
Akuto = Uh Koo Toe
Yume = Yoo Mee
Shihoru = Shee Hoe (as in hoh hoh hoh) Roo
Kuzaku = Cuz (as in Cousin) Uhh Koo. =P
Quick Wind Plains becomes Quick Whined Plains.
"Yes Siree Bob" = Yes Sigh Erree Bob

@ariared26 Depends. The images are good quality, but books cannot be downloaded onto your SD Card, so if you have a big LN collection and an 8-16gb internal storage space, you run into a real possibility of running out of HD space.
You can of course rip out the DRM, store it on your SD Card and use an epub reader, but the method of doing so will not give you the HQ images and will be very low resolution.

@ariared26 No, you cannot download them to SD Card. You have to rip out the DRM first but if you do, you'll get LQ images.

Wow, i can do that? i may have signup for membership $10 a month is ok for me. I only find this site by accident. still new here.

Worth noting:
In Firefox, you can shift right click or use an extension to save images from the web viewer.
Calibre has an ebook editor that lets you right click and replace an image file. -
@chu-li yup, once I found out I stopped buying their amazon releases, google books is much more friendlier than kindle and the membership is totally worth it
