@C-Norman-Hocker said in How not to summon a demon lord finished?:

From what I have read, there is still no news on How not to summon a demon lord. It seems that Altina is the only conversation on this vine. I would still like to know if Diablo will ever get back to his companions.

Having had enough authors die on me prior to their finishing writing a series I was reading...
We won't know until something is actually published.
Now, as far as I'm aware no one has reported any communications from the author on Twitter or such saying, "Nah, I decided to bag that series," or "The publisher said not to bother, they're dropping it even if I have a manuscript to turn in."

Word on the street is that Altina is getting the first shot this time around.
And that How NOT to is still active.
Whether they'll then look into alternating titles, or focus on Altina until complete or at the end of a story arc and flip over to Demon Lord and do the same...
      Dunno.

From the author twitter (DeepL TL):

2022/4/15 It is the 13th anniversary of Murasaki Yukiya's debut as an author. I've been writing again after having slowed down for the past two years due to various reasons. Sorry for keeping you waiting. ...... I hope you can look forward to the second half of this year. I'll be working hard on both new books and new series!

There was a long wait for Demon Lord Retry, also. I just became so invested in the story, that I am eager to see a better end. I really do like the dynamic between the Diablo and the girls.

@C-Norman-Hocker The author is different for Retry, that has nothing to do with the author for Demon Load/Altina. Also, in Japan, Retry has had a volume basically 6-8 months, so there was nothing abnormal with the release of that series.

@LegitPancake I know they are two different authors. I was using my enthusiasm and enjoyment of Retry as a comparison for the length of time it'd take for me to read a new story. It was, also, meant to express my extreme enjoyment of the stories and their character development.
