It's November, and that means Thanksgiving in the US! Thanksgiving is a time for feasting and reflection, and what better way to embody that than with enough meat to feed a legendary wolf (Campfire Cooking), assorted baked goods (Combat Baker), and the chance to go back and correct past mistakes? (Tearmoon Empire)

If none of those sound too appealing, not to worry, because you can also read about therianthropy (The White Cat's Revenge), otherworld bathing culture (Mixed Bathing), and Buddhist wizards (Discommunication)!

Over 30 volumes of content for members to read until the end of the month!

Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

@Kilocron Yeah, anyone here who has not read Tearmoon already, do yourself a favor and read it. It is one my top 3 favorite series currently being translated and the one I look forward to the most each week.

@Kilocron Those are the two that sound most interesting to me for a readthrough, glad to know they’ve both got a recommendation ^^

Discommunication has kinda gone under the radar here, but if you've read Mysterious Girlfriend X, this is that author's first series! It starts out as a quirky romcom and then dives deep into Buddhist mythology, taking a tour of the Meikai and the afterlife. This is a great opportunity to see what you've been missing!

@doceirias Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have a lot on my plate with this month's catchups but I will try to check it out :)

                    Too much books to read.
I would love to focus on campfire cooking and Baker !

@doceirias Wow I should have spotted that, but never made that connection. I loved MGX and I've been reading Discommunication and enjoying it as well. So seconding that recommendation. I might add the caveat to give it a bit to unfold to appreciate all that is going on.

If we can vote on this sort of thing, I vote against having announcements that don’t actually list the titles of the books. I know it sounds super lazy but I don’t really want to click through every link to discover what’s available and the picture only shows a portion of what’s there.

@the-green-death Feedback received! I'll avoid doing it this way in the future.

Tearmoon Empire and White Cat are two I've been wanting to check out! If I get the time, maybe Campfire cooking since I've enjoyed the manga for that one so far.

@Kyouri I’m strangely addicted to campfire but it’s so repetitive, I just wish the author would put more effort into fine tuning the story and actually progressing the main story. 50% of each book and it’s only getting worst, is the protagonist cooking food for his familiars and then each familiar repeating the same exact lines or him taking orders from the gods. At first, it was cute but now I just wish the author would use these things more sparingly, he really suffers from the copy and paste syndrome.

@Lovebsg Yeah I dropped campfire cooking at like Vol 7 or 8, when the MC

But as early as Vol 2 I was straight up skipping over the cooking segments since they were basically these weird, imprecise recipes rather than an actual cooking montage. Same thing for the gods’ orders after a while.

@Lovebsg - agreed. I'm still reading it for now, but the repetition and very slow progression in Campfire is getting to me. I do recommend people read the first 2-3 at least.

                                      White Cat is fun.

I drifted away from Combat Baker but volume 1 was decent so I plan to give it another try.

@HarmlessDave I’m looking forward to white cat, I’m almost finished reading campfire, since most of it is filler It makes for some fast reading.

It's definitely stranger but if my assumption of why you'd think it gross are right, this is better in that regard.

I want to second this. I'd been fooled by the first few chapters that got translated over the years and my knowledge of MGX. It definitely ramps up after a bit.

@Lovebsg I’ll admit to still reading it, but I’ve taken to skimming the chapters where half of it is filler... the food chapters feel like a diet meal, large amount of words for a low calorie reading experience.

And the gods... if the author hadn’t dropped the frequency of those interactions I would have dropped it.
