I really love the way JNC aid branching out. There’s such a wide range of Japanese fiction, it’s songood to see more of it come over! Now, to convince them mysteries could sell...

"Bump the Sakurako-San request thread. The power of mystery compels thee". Nah, but yeah, we could use a mystery or two. I hope the performance of our current titles in the horror genre didn't poison the well for more horror either.

Now that we're getting some interesting stuff that isn't quite light novel, opens up the door for more novel novels, like the Subete Ga no F series mysteries that had an anime, or Shiki.

I believe the moving away from being solely a light novel publisher and moving into publishing physical books may bode well for mysteries. I’d guess 60% or so of the Japanese novels translated are thrillers and mysteries so the genre must do well (just not to the manga/anime crowd)

Amagi Brilliant Park! And Kokoro Connect!
Also Lazy Dungeon Master and Elf Bride, which I'm not sure I will follow yet tho.

My CC is starting to scream in agony T_T

I'm planning on reading Archdemon's Dillemma and Amagi Brilliant Park as they come out. I'll probably read the other ones once the first full book is available. I have a lot of other stuff on my backlog still!

I think JNC's next announcement needs to be that their app uses advanced science and/or magic to freeze time, or else I'm going to start having issues. Well, more issues.

I pretty much stick to stuff with the comedy tag, so Kokoro Connect and Amagi Brilliant Park are mainly what I intend to read -- but Gear Drive may be something to check out since I like light-hearted stuff as well.

Kokoro Connect, Gear Dive, JK Haru is a Sex Worker in Another World and An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Slave Elf Bride seem way interesting enough for me to pick up when the first volume gets released on premium. So they are my first, decided right away, I'm going to try 'em ones.

Amagi Brilliant Park I recognize from an anime I've seen, so I may wait a little until I read that one honestly.

I think I read some web version of Lazy Dungeon Master? Or it could of just been a similar name. So if its what I think it is I'll read that at some point definitely too.

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: The Wayward Journey I believe looks like that old RPG for the PS2 when it first came out, so I'm keeping my eye on that one and shall see.

And then I'll see to the others when I have the time and see if I like em enough to give em a read/buy.

No joke man. Light Novels take up my otaku bandwidth to the point I watch maybe two episodes a week of anime and read occasional manga.

Honestly I love that I got back into the scene right around the time Yen started printing SAO.

@terrence, @the-green-death Being a big mystery fan, I (un)fortunately have to say that Minotaur has the majority of the licenses for mysteries. The fortunate part is that they do a good professional job of translating. The unfortunate part is that the IP has to be a guaranteed midlister for them to translate. Hopefully we can get a couple of them though.

I wonder if Sam will eventually extend the time before pre-pubs fall off as they get more and more series.

It would be nice. Though, it'd just make me more of a procrastinator than I already am. T_T

Don't really have a set order. I'm just going to work my way up thru the list. I'm planning to read them all though. Sam Madre the effort to get all these new titles, and the translators and editors did their thing, plus I've always liked to read. It's a smorgasbord!

Elf Bride is about the only one I'm pretty sure I will like so that's gonna be first in my list. Have to check out Werewolf and Amagi ones to see if they actually appeal to me, but those two are only other titles from the new licenses that sound remotely interesting to me.
Thanks to J-Novel for all the hard work bringing in the new novels though.
