@terabyte Now it showed, outta nowhere. It looks WAY BETTER, like, I mean, I can't even begin to compare how better it looks. Whoa.

The resolution alone is totally different:

      • Amazon: 1024x758
      • Kobo: 2228 x 1650
      • JNC: even higher than Kobo (not sure by how much though)

I don't care a lot if JNC has higher res, as it is way more expensive for me. All I want is to read the novel. Even more so that I don't like their membership system.

How much more expensive is it exactly? For me, as an example, it is way cheaper to purchase premium credits for 6$. And the JNC ebooks also come with additional bonus content not found anywhere else. If it is only slightly more expensive, you'd get the bonus content too that way. For this specific LN I believe they have additional bonus stories.

@drone205 The membership is, let's aproximate it, $5. $1 is, aproximating the numbers once again, R$3,50, meaning it is about R$17,50. The JNC Credits are $6, that would be R$21,00, making a total of R$38,50, while in Amazon the very same book is R$22,29. That's a total of R$16,21 of difference. I'd rather buy it from Amazon.

And that's not counting taxes and other stuff from credit card, as it is an international purchase.

@themario3721 Yeah, that's quite a difference then. In my case it is the opposite. The ebooks cost me about 30~40% less on JNC compared to Amazon, which is the cheapest option compared to Kobo, Nook, etc. It costs me less and I get the bonus content too, a real bargain for me fortunately :D

@terabyte I also don't quite like the aspect of "when our license is over you may lose your purchase, unless you did not delete it when you downloaded it". Amazon may or may not be the same thing, but at least I have an specifc reader that pleases me, and a library of things I alredy purchased.

@themario3721 Hmm, I don't really worry about that. I do keep a triple backup copy of my data anyway (including NAS & Cloud). I use that Android app I linked earlier for mobile/tablet, and I use Calibre on my desktop as readers. It works out pretty well for me, also because JNC ebooks are DRM-free so I'm not limited to reading them only on Kindle for example :)

@themario3721 Kindle reconpresses the images down to a lower resolution that is more appropriate for their kindle devices.
If you want the best quality images go with kobo/Bookwalker/or our premium epubs.

@themario3721 If you look at one book then yes. it would be cheaper to buy them from Amazon. Although then you need to life with low res images and no Bonus content. But depending on the amount of books you purchase it would be cheaper to be a member. Although it depends on the book as on the german Amazon (only to give an example) the first book of For my Daughter cost 7.58€ and later ones are 5.57. So not much you will save. But as said it depends of the amount of books you want to buy.
